Over the years I've worked on a number of portraits. From recognising achievements in academia, to painting for film and television, to family celebration. Each commission is unique and takes me on a different journey. The portraits are collaborations between artist and sitter, together we create the story we want to tell. I try and make the process relaxing and a little less earnest, as with my figurative art in general, I am trying to capture the humanity of the moment.
